Highschool of the Dead chapter 28

Well, what do you know, I got the chapter in today after all.

This is where I'd say "See ya in two months!" but actually, I wanted to let you know that I'm planning on putting the art book that came with this issue up eventually.  With no hyperbole, it's FUCKING HUGE, so when I put it up it'll be in several parts.  Give me some time.

Also, this issue announced that there is going to be a full color re-release of the first four volumes of Highschool of the Dead.  There's not a whole lot of info yet, but we do know they're coming out in spring 2011, will be 176 pages (does that mean we'll get some extra stuff with each volume?), and are going to be B5 size.  For reference, B5 is just slightly smaller than standard size printer paper, so for a manga release, this is huge.  These volumes should be a treat, and if I can, I'd love to be able to translate them for you.

There was a preview for the full color edition included in the art book, so I'm planning on translating that so you can have an idea of what it'll be like.

Anyway, enjoy the chapter, and help me out if you can!!  I'm poor. ;_;

    actually i just read that thing to the left which says "but I do NOT give permission for images to be compressed and re-released or to be posted on scanlation aggregate sites", which might indicate that it's not okay after all. i'll take it down if you want me to. but i really don't want to because highschool of the dead is one of our favorite mangas.

    how about i compromise and promise not to show any ads on the pages featuring your scans, guaranteeing that i will be losing money instead of making it, because i love hsotd and want everyone to read it

    Also, by the way, the artbook is the one that's a bunch of wallpapers of many different sizes and with some images that reminds the artist's past -- he was and is a hentai artist -- ? If it's, is great! If not, I'm hoping to see it!!!

    Finally some starts to scan this again. I though it was dead forever and I'm glad it getting color version, I hope it add more of the anime goody to the manga and Long live the Boob Maxtix

    I Think it's fair to say, that at the "very" least, you, sir, are badass. Thank you for continuing translations beyond Xamayon - as we both know - Yen Press would easily take a year or so to catch up - which isn't very fair, or fun, for thier audience.

    Will you be doing an HQ release of Volume 6? Your translations are great as I said above, but the magazine scans make me kind of worried. I know for certain that they have censored stuff in the magazine before...

    I have a raw of volume 6 downloaded, has some extra character bios and some other random things in it. I am still in first year Japanese so I cannot understand anything it says. =(
